San Diego Thunderboat Regatta Friday thru Sunday, September 19-21, 2008. This 2008 World Series of Powerboat Racing on Mission Bay is San Diego's premier boat racing and family beach festival. This three day event held along the shores of Mission Bay features thunderboat racing, tunnel hulls, drag boats, hydroplanes, fireworks and concerts, as well as specialty vendors and food. San Diego's Fleet Week A city-wide salute to the military helping to recognize the contributions made by the naval services to the many communities in the greater San Diego area.
