Cup World Series

The AC
World Series comes to San Diego, featuring both fleet and match
sailboat racing on San Diego Bay. The regatta provides the public an
opportunity to watch the world’s top sailors compete on the
state-of-the-art AC45 wing-sailed catamarans; this is the first time
the high-tech boats will be seen in the United States.
San
Diego is the third stop in the inaugural America’s Cup World
Series (AC World Series), which will feature both fleet and match
racing. The dates of the event have been confirmed as November
12-20.
With an
average of more than 200 hundred days a year above 70° F
(21° C), San Diego is renowned for its idyllic climate, making
it is a major destination for global visitors. The City offers an
expansive variety of things to see and do, appealing to guests of all
ages. In particular, San Diego is known for its impressive bay,

San
Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl

2011 - Qualcomm Stadium
The
Poinsettia Bowl will be played by two of the most exciting
teams from the Mountain West Conference (MWC) and Western Athletic
Conference (WAC). The 2010 Poinsettia Bowl featured a 35-14 San Diego
State Aztecs victory over the Navy Midshipmen in front of a record
48,049 fans. Future Poinsettia Bowl opponents for the MWC include
Brigham Young University in 2012 and Army in 2013. Negotiations are
also in the works to bring the Navy Midshipmen back to San Diego for
the 2014 game.
If
you’re planning to attend the 2011 Poinsettia Bowl, plan to
catch some of the many holiday festivities that will be going on
throughout the city . Tour the neighborhood light displays or drive
through Del Mar’s Holiday of Lights. Take in the theater and
dine at some of San Diego’s finest restaurants. San Diego's

Education Holiday Bowl

Featuring two of the top teams from the
PAC-10 and Big 12, the Holiday Bowl is often high scoring with
lots of offense and lots of excitement. And with a great weather, a
great matchup, and numerous events prior to it,
the week leading up to San Diego's Holiday Bowl is often as exciting as
the game itself.
The 2010 game featured a 19-7 upset victory
by the Washington Huskies
over the Nebraska Cornhuskers in front of 57,921 fans and an ESPN
national television audience. With great matchups, great weather, and
numerous events, the week leading up to San Diego's Holiday Bowl is
often as exciting as the game itself.
Tickets
for the 34th annual Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl are now on sale
to the general public. Ticket prices range from $60 to $75 and can be
purchased through the bowl’s ticket office at Qualcomm
