La Jolla Beaches
Black’s Beach
|
This is known more as a locals beach in La Jolla because of the accessibility of the beach itself. On first arrival you will see the famous glider port and then as you make your way to the edge of the cliff and peer down, you will see your steep adventure down to the sand, but once you’re there you’ll realize it was well worth the journey.
La Jolla Shores
This is a great beach to take the family to with gentle waves and a nearby grassy park it leaves a very inviting feel. This is not a beach to watch surfers in their glory because of the small waves, however many scuba divers received their first lesson at La Jolla Shores. This beach is known by the locals for it’s fire pits which make for a perfect summer night in San Diego.
La Jolla Cove
This is one of the smaller beaches in our county but also one of the beaches that gets the most attention. If you are looking for a perfect scenic beach this is the one! This beach is also know for having frequent scuba divers and snorklers.
Children’s Pool
This beach area is known for it’s seals and sea lions that hang out on the sand almost all year. It’s perfect for just sitting back on one of the benches and just letting nature do it’s thing. It is also close to many great La Jolla Cafes’ and has lots of paved sidewalks right above the beach for your viewing pleasure.
